What material are your ceramic washbasins made of？
Our washbasins are made of high-temperature vitreous china. They are fired at around 1200°C, which makes the body dense and strong. This gives you a basin that lasts for years, not one that chips or cracks easily.
What is the difference between matt and glossy glaze? Which one is more durable?
Glossy glaze has a shiny surface and is very easy to wipe clean. Matt glaze has a soft, modern look that many buyers now prefer. Both are durable when fired properly. The main difference is the look, not the strength, so you can choose based on your market’s taste.
Will the coloured glaze fade or change colour over time?
No. The colour is fired into the glaze at high temperature, so it becomes part of the surface, not a coating on top. It will not fade, peel or turn yellow with normal use. This is why coloured basins hold their look for many years.
Can you keep the colour consistent across different batches?
We control the glaze formula and firing process to keep colour stable between batches. Small variation can happen with any fired ceramic, but we keep it within a tight range. For large or repeat orders, we can keep a colour sample on file so your batches stay matched.
What is the water absorption rate?
Our vitreous china has a water absorption rate of 0.5% or lower. A low rate means the basin does not soak up water, stains or smell.
